About LandlordSpeak

LandlordSpeak is a plain-English advice site and Facebook group for people who own or manage rental property.

It's run by Gerald Burns, a licensed insurance agent who works with landlords every week: single-family rentals, duplexes and fourplexes, apartment buildings and commercial property. The articles come from real questions and real underwriting decisions, written from scratch, with any client details removed.

What we promise

• Straight answers, not a sales pitch.
• When a rule depends on the state, we name the state.
• We never ask for your Social Security number, bank or card details.
• If you ask for a quote, we reply in writing. Nobody will chase you.
